Born and raised in middle America (St. Louis to be exact), Christian was submerged in music from an early age. At age 6, Christian's parents owned a small music store were he was often found helping around the shop, dusting guitars and putting his sticky fingers on every synthesizer in the room. The store also gave music lessons, and Christian's parents soon realized, to keep him from breaking all the merchandise, they could keep him occupied with piano lessons.
Christian was hooked! He spent the rest of his youth learning instrument after instrument. Christian surrounded himself with everything from rock music to symphonic classical.
Fast Forward a few years...
Christian formed the band Die Symphony with his brother Kelly. Die Symphony was a mix of industrial/techno and rock with symphonic overtones. Very cinematic! Die Symphony released several albums and traveled the country performing along side such diverse bands as Hole, Cold, Vast, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Orgy, Lords of Acid, Gwar, Kill Hannah, Gravity Kills, and so many others. Christian was featured in Billboard Magazine and played on MTV and radio stations around the world.
With Die Symphony's growing success, Christian was often asked to score films for both small and large projects. A self-proclaimed "movie-junky", it didn't take much arm twisting.
In 2004, Christian moved just outside New York City, to New Haven Connecticut, and has quickly become a rising star in the world of film composing. |
